Chinese Supplier Background Check (Before You Pay a Deposit)

Before you wire a deposit to a Chinese machinery supplier, find out which company you are really dealing with and who you are paying. A human reviewer checks the entity, license and payment documents and tells you what is missing.

What we check

  • English trading name vs. Chinese registered legal entity
  • Business license (18-digit USCC) and consistency with other documents
  • Payment beneficiary — does the bank account match the contracting company?
  • Factory claims: evidence reviewed and signals noted
  • PI / quotation / contract consistency
  • Missing evidence and before-payment recommendations

Frequently asked questions

What is included in the supplier background check?

A human reviewer checks whether the English supplier name matches a Chinese legal entity, reviews the business license and its consistency with your PI, quotation and contract, checks who the payment beneficiary is, reviews factory-claim evidence and lists missing evidence and before-payment actions.

How much does it cost and how long does it take?

The Manual Evidence Review costs USD 99 per supplier and is delivered in 1–2 business days after we receive the supplier details and documents.

What documents should I send?

Whatever you already have: supplier name and website or Alibaba link, business license photo, proforma invoice or quotation, draft contract and the bank details the supplier asked you to pay. More documents allow a more complete review.

Does the background check guarantee the supplier is safe?

No. It is a preliminary risk review based on the evidence available. It does not verify bank account ownership, product quality or certifications, and it is not legal advice. For physical confirmation, add a factory audit.

Can I try something free first?

Yes. The free Public Footprint Snapshot and the free China business license checker give you instant signals; the paid review adds a human check of your actual documents.
